Regulations
I. THE ORGANIZER
Ekiden Relay is organized by the "Warsaw Marathon" Foundation.

The Marathon Relay Race Office will be placed at Pole Mokotowskie Park
Participants have to pick up bip numbers at Race Office. The working hours of the race office:
May 7 (Friday): 08:00 a.m. - 04:00 p.m.
May 8 (Saturday): 09:00 a.m. - 07:00 p.m.
May 9 (Sunday): 09:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
II. DATE AND PLACE
1. The race will be held on May 9, 2010, at the Pole Mokotowskie Park in Warsaw.
2. The race will start at 11.00 a.m.
3. The total length of the course is 42,195 K (6 changes: 10+10+5+5+5+7,195) at 5K loop.
4. Every kilometre will be marked with vertical signs.
5. The time limit for each team is 4,5 hours.
III. PARTICIPANTS
1. All participants must be minimum 16 years old. Relay team MUST have 6 participants.
2. Race kit for Ekiden Relay teams must be picked up by the team leader in the Race Office on May 7 (Friday): 08:00 a.m. - 04:00 p.m., May 8 (Saturday): 09.00 a.m. - 07:00 p.m. or before the race, on May 9 (Sunday) between 09:00 and 10:00 a.m.
To undergo the identity check the team leader has to present an ID with a photo and an entry fee payment confirmation (money transfer receipt). In case such documents are not presented the race kit will be not be given to the runner.
3. Every team will receive an individual race kit with a race bib, safety pins and a commemorative T-shirt.
4. The Ekiden Relay team leader has to show medical certificate about long distances running for all team members.
5. The Ekiden Relay team leaders has to take part in Ekiden Relay Leaders meeting at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday (May 9) in the front of main stage.
6. Time will be measured by certified referees.
7. All participants who will finish the Ekiden Relay will recive medal.
8. Places I-III will recive commemorative cups.
9. Any decisions of the medical crew during the race (including one's continuation of the race) are final.
IV. APPLICATION
1. To register one has to fill in the entry form available at www.ekiden.pl or send a paper application to the address of the organizer:

2. Paper applications must reach the organizers' office by April 25, 2010.
V. CLASSIFICATION
- general classification
- additional classifications: - universities, colleges; - teachers; - high schools; - banks; - insurance sector; - medical services; - lawyers; - media; - uniformed forces; - non-govermental organisations; - public sector employees; - family teams.
VI. ENTRY FEES
1. To participate in the Ekiden Relay it is necessary to pay the entry fee.
2. Entry fee for each team is 75 EUR paid at the following account:

the title of money transfer should be: "Ekiden Relay" + team name.
Nota bene: the entry fee must be the amount that is finally transferred to the bank account of the race organizer. All accompanying fees and charges must be incurred by the payer.
3. The organizers are not liable for loss of the entry form or the money order or the bank transfer through fault of the post office or the bank.
4. Once paid, the fee is not subject to reimbursement. It is not possible to transfer the paid amount onto another participant once it has been paid. There is no possibility to transfer the paid amount onto another event organized by the Foundation "Warsaw Marathon".
VII. FINAL PROVISIONS
1. During the Ekiden Relay all competitors must have their start numbers attached to sports T-shirts on their chests. Covering start numbers in part or in whole or its modification is forbidden under the penalty of being disqualified.
2. Staying on the route of the Ekiden Relay without a valid start number is prohibited. Persons without valid start numbers shall be removed from the route by the service crew of the run.
3. Written complaints regarding the results are to be received by May 10th, 2010 before 12:00. Complaints shall be investigated within 24 hours.
4. The team limit for the Ekiden Relay is 300 teams.
5. Only the organizers of the Ekiden Relay have the right for the binding and final interpretation of these regulations.
